How It Works
You can contact Yardena directly or through your funeral director.
Yardena will then arrange a time with you for a family meeting which will last from two to
three hours. You will want as many members of the immediate family present as possible.
During this meeting, you will:
| |
 |
Share anecdotes and reminiscences of your loved one with each other and with Yardena
|
| |
 |
Plan the service
|
| |
o |
Select specific readings and/or prayers you may want to have
|
| |
o |
Designate anyone who may want to speak (Yardena is also happy to read something on someone’s behalf if they feel they cannot speak)
|
| |
o |
Identify music you may want to use (this can be anything—from
opera to classic rock to rap, anything that was significant to your
loved one or is simply something you would like to hear at the
service or during the tribute)
|
| |
 |
Design any ceremonies you may want to incorporate (a candle
lighting, placing items in the casket or with the cremated remains, or
something more unique to reflect the significance of your loved one—if
he or she were an avid gardener, for example, you could give seeds or
spring bulbs to attendees—the possibilities are endless and Yardena
will work with you to design something special for your situation)
|
Yardena will then:
| |
 |
Create the service or tribute from your input, including eulogy and
readings reflecting your loved one's personality and life
|
| |
 |
Design participation for family members and friends as appropriate,
including creating or selecting content for each as needed
|
| |
 |
Prepare the service or tribute
|
| |
 |
Deliver or lead every element of the service at the location of your choice
