Civil Funeral Celebrant Code of Ethics and Practices

I, Yardena Rand, will:

Encourage the family to personalize the funeral service through the use of music, photographs, readings and/or ceremonies involving the use of meaningful objects or articles;
Acknowledge and respect the vulnerability of the family at this time of bereavement and do everything possible to protect their security;
Not introduce my personal beliefs, prejudices or preconceived ideas into the service.

I will further:

Maintain in all matters the highest standard of professional and personal conduct;
Respect the confidentiality of the family in all circumstances;
Preserve the right of personal choice and decision-making for the bereaved family;
Respect the cultural and spiritual beliefs of the family and the deceased person.
